Why use LLvocab when there are alternatives like Anki?
First of all, LLvocab is more than a flashcard app, so we are fundamentally different. Secondly, Anki is actually great at what it does, I especially like the community contribution feature. However, the user interface of Anki is a turn off; I also don't like the hassle of going online searching and finding a deck I wanted from third parties; If you are building the cards yourself it just takes a lot of effort; These frictions can mean good for some people but for the others like myself, it can discourage my learning motif. And LLvocab is working onto solving that.

How can LLvocab help?
LLvocab take language and vocabulary building in a different approach - intentional learning instead of being given, let me explain: Most if not all learning methods are through step-by-step, guided lecture and it's a one method for all teaching style. For example, Duolingo provides the same path for all users. You have to learn from 'Hi' to 'She is having lunch.', then advances to whatnot. Even if you selected a more advance level to start with, you are still in the path they have set beforehand. - This is unintentional learning. What LLvocab wants to achieve, is whenever YOU think of a word you want to know how to say in a targeted language, you can just do that with LLvocab. If you are like me questioning the learning method of one-for-all, LLvocab is the tool you should try. By taking the initiative of the learning process, you build a library of vocabularies YOU are interested in. Or you can imagine what you want and need to say practice in an upcoming event, and build those vocabularies in advance!

What LLvocab is not for?
LLvocab is mostly a flashcard + dictionary app. We are by no means teaches grammar and sentence structure. Although there are sentence example in the app, it is for reference only.

How to add a vocab?
To add a vocab to your library, simply go to the Search page, type in the word you want to know in a targeted language, tap the heart on the top right corner to save it.
